Shangyan Refractory Material Limited (former Yangquan Shangyan Refractory Material Factory), founded in 1963, has developed into a scale company in the past four decades. The company employs 440 staff, 3 of which have senior profession title, 5 of which have middle level profession title and 23 of which have junior level title. The factory covers an area of 54,000m2, 1.75m2 of which is occupied by industrial workshop and other buildings; owns 80 advanced equipment and 21 million yuan fixed assets, as well as a whole set of physical and chemical test equipment and instrument.

　　Mainly producing aluminum silicate serial refractory products and molding material, the company manufactures blast furnace, electric furnace, hot blast stove, steel tank, hot metal can, refining furnace, glass furnace, cement kiln and coke oven products with annual output of 35,000-40,000 tons. Annual production of all kinds of molding material is 4,000-10,000 tons.

　　LZ—65 high alumina brick was regarded as Shanxi Quality Product in 1984; blast furnace and high alumina brick, blast furnace fireclay brick and steelmaking electric furnace top received production license by Ministry of Metallurgy in 1987 and 1991 respectively. Our factory was authorized self-operating imp. & exp. rights by National Economic Trade Committee in July 1996; and passed ISO9001:2000 International Quality System Certification in 2003. For years, the company has established direct trade cooperation with USA, Japan, South Africa, South Korea, Indonesia and Pakistan.
